2009 Innovation Award by the National Council for Public Private Partnerships

The U. S. Army Enhanced Use Leasing Program and General Motors were announced as the winner of the 2009 Innovation Award by the National Council for Public Private Partnerships for the Yuma Proving Ground Enhanced Use Lease Project (Yuma, AZ), for the development of a 2,400+ acre area with a world class hot weather vehicle test complex, including multiple test tracks.

2008 Annual Public-Private Partnerships Awards Recipients Named

The Enhanced Use Leasing Program was announced as the winner of the Infrastructure Project of the Year Award by the National Council for Public Private Partnerships for the National Inter-Agency Bio-defense Project at Fort Detrick, MD.

October 10, 2008 – Arlington, VA: The National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) has completed the selection process for this year’s awards for outstanding leadership and projects in the field of public-private partnerships (PPPs). These awards recognize exemplary projects and services that illustrate the best practices and innovative approaches in the use of PPPs. These contractual arrangements provide a means for combining the strengths of each sector for the most cost effective delivery of services and infrastructure, while maintaining an appropriate level of public control.

Award PlagueGovernment Services Administration 2007 Achievement Award Finalist for Real Property Innovation - Asset Management and Sustainability

The annual award ceremony recognizes programs across the federal government that demonstrate innovation, creativity and leading practices in two real property categories:  Asset Management and Sustainability.  The EUL team was recognized as a finalist in the Asset Management category based on the Enhanced Use Lease it negotiated between the Army’s Yuma Proving Ground in Yuma, Az., and the General Motors Corporation to construct hot weather vehicle testing tracks. GM will construct test facilities on land leased for 50 years in exchange for in-kind services made available to the Army. See winning entry here.
